Tracey Dares and Paul MacNeil, two of Cape Breton’s finest musicians, opened the Castlebay Music Online Store in 2000.  The name Castlebay represents the area where Tracey and Paul live with their four beautiful daughters.

With the arrival of four children in less than five years, Tracey found there just wasn’t enough time to devote to the operation of the music store.  Now, this is where I came in.  I have taken over the operation of the store for the time being.  I am the proud grandmother of these four children, along with two more who are under the age of three. Six grandchildren in less than five years is quite the blessing, that’s for sure.

I hope to continue to offer the great service that you have come to expect.  My webmaster, Adam Young, is a great guy who has come up with this new look for us.  There will be new products added as they become available.  I would appreciate any input you may have regarding the store or the products that are available.

Lastly, I would like to thank everyone who has visited the online store over the past six years.  Your continued support is greatly appreciated.  I am pleased to be able to offer to you the music that is such an important part of the culture of Cape Breton Island.
